One Nadela Medical Group was named in five categories at the 2026 Merz Aesthetics Tala Awards on 19 August, taking seven-star recognition, the top of the scale, in two of them. The night ran under the theme “Confidence Without Limits.”
The five awards were presented on stage over the course of the evening. Every trophy carries the same engraving: the category, the theme, and the date.
One Nadela opened in 2019. It was founded by Dr. Vinizza Niña Nadela-Kong with her sister, Dr. Pallas Athena Nadela-Digamon, and her husband, Dr. Jule Yasser Kong, a cosmetic surgeon. Three board-certified physicians, one clinic, one city.
For most of those six years it stayed a Cebu practice. That changed in 2026, when the group opened in Bonifacio Global City and in Makati. The reason Dr. Nadela-Kong gives for the move is not a market study. It is a patient list.
“The growth happened very naturally for us. Over the years, many of our Cebu patients eventually relocated to Manila or began splitting their time between cities, and they wanted continuity in the way they were being treated and cared for,” she told Manila Bulletin in June.
What she has been most careful about is the part that does not travel in a moving crate. “As we expanded from Cebu to Manila, one thing remained non-negotiable for us: keeping the warmth, sincerity, and the personal care that shaped One Nadela from the very beginning,” she said.
The same interview sets out the clinic's approach to the work itself, which is closer to restraint than to transformation. “Changing a face usually means imposing a trend or a standard that may not naturally belong to the person,” Dr. Nadela-Kong said. The practice is built instead around facial harmony, meaning results that still look like the patient.
Tala is the Filipino word for star, which is fitting for an award whose tiers are counted in them. The Tala Awards are Merz Aesthetics' annual recognition of the clinics it partners with in the Philippines, held together with Vanguard Aesthetics. Merz Aesthetics is the company behind Ultherapy, Xeomin, Radiesse and Belotero, and the award categories are named after those products. Each award carries a star rating, with seven at the top of the scale. Earlier editions ran under the themes “Confidence to Shine” in 2024 and “Confidence in your PRIME” in 2025.
Because the categories are product categories, the recognition is not a judgement of taste. It reflects the work a clinic actually does with each of those products, year after year, and it is awarded by the company that manufactures them.
One Nadela's two seven-star awards were for Xeomin and Radiesse. Xeomin is a botulinum toxin, used at the clinic for jaw slimming, forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet. Radiesse is a firmer dermal filler, used where a face needs structure rather than softness, including non-surgical nose reshaping, the chin and the jawline.
The five-star award covers Belotero, a hyaluronic acid filler that sits softly enough for more delicate areas, and the three-star awards cover Ultherapy PRIME, a microfocused ultrasound device used to lift and tighten the brow, lower face and neck, along with the Overall category. All of these treatments are performed by the group's doctors.
The awards came four days after the group marked its sixth anniversary in Cebu, an afternoon spent with the patients who have been with the practice longest. Two treatments were introduced that day, the XERF skin-tightening treatment and the Geneo X Facial. Cebu Daily News covered the anniversary and the arrival of XERF in the city.
Speaking at that gathering, Dr. Nadela-Kong returned to the same idea that runs through the expansion. “To feel this celebration is actually overwhelming, and it's also a responsibility to keep doing what we are doing,” she said. “We really want to deliver the Cebuano warmth or ‘pagpangga’ across the nation, bringing our brand to Manila.”
Four days later the group was named in five categories at a national industry awards night. The campaign line it has been running all year is #TheFutureIsON.
