How much do dermal fillers cost in the Philippines?

At One Nadela, dermal filler treatment starts at ₱25,000 for 1 cc and is available at our BGC, Cebu, and Makati branches.

Filler is priced according to the amount used, so the total cost depends on the treatment area and the amount of volume needed. A chin treatment and a set of lips, for example, may require different amounts of filler.

The doctor will determine the appropriate amount during your assessment after evaluating your facial proportions and goals. We do not recommend determining the final amount or treatment plan over the phone.

All dermal filler treatments at One Nadela are performed by a licensed doctor.

What do dermal fillers actually do?

Dermal fillers are injectable gels designed primarily to restore or add volume and, depending on the product, improve hydration and tissue support.

The filler used most commonly is hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found in the body, including the skin and connective tissues. HA has the ability to attract and bind water, allowing a relatively small amount of filler to create visible volume and shape.

Because HA filler is gradually broken down by the body, its effects are temporary and treatment may need to be repeated over time.

This is different from anti-wrinkle injections, which work by temporarily reducing muscle activity. Filler adds volume or structure, while anti-wrinkle injections relax targeted muscles. Depending on the patient's needs, the two treatments may sometimes be used together.

How does the doctor decide where the filler should go?

You may come to your consultation asking for filler in one specific area, but we assess the face as a whole first.

The goal is facial harmonisation and balance, not simply adding volume wherever it has been requested.

Common concerns include:

  • Cheeks / midface: Adding volume may improve midface contour and can create a more supported appearance to the lower face.
  • Chin: Improving chin projection can help create better balance between the chin, jawline, and other facial features.
  • Lips: Filler can improve lip definition, shape, symmetry, and volume, not simply make the lips larger.
  • Nasolabial folds: In some patients, addressing surrounding areas such as the midface may be more appropriate than directly filling the fold.

Importantly, not every concern requires filler. Part of the consultation is determining whether filler is appropriate for the area you are concerned about, or whether another approach would be more suitable.

Is there a limit on how much lip filler One Nadela will place?

At One Nadela, we are conservative with lip fillers. As a general limit, we place a maximum of 2 cc per session.

There are also situations where we will decline treatment.

If you have previously had a different, unknown, or unidentified material injected into your lips and are requesting additional filler, we will not proceed with further filler in that area.

Knowing what material is already present is important when assessing safety and potential complications. This is a medical safety decision, not something that can be negotiated based on how much additional volume is desired.

What happens during the appointment, and what is the downtime?

The appointment usually takes around one hour. This includes consultation, facial assessment, treatment planning, marking, preparation, numbing when appropriate, and the injection itself.

After treatment, you may experience:

  • Mild swelling
  • Tenderness or sensitivity
  • Bruising
  • Pinpoint bleeding at the injection sites

Most patients can return to their usual activities afterwards, although this can vary depending on the treatment area and the individual.

How long do dermal fillers last, and can they be reversed?

The result from filler is generally visible immediately, although swelling can temporarily affect the appearance during the first few days.

For hyaluronic acid fillers, results commonly last around 6 to 12 months, depending on the product, treatment area, amount used, and individual factors.

One advantage of hyaluronic acid filler is that it can generally be dissolved with hyaluronidase when medically appropriate. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid.

However, dissolving filler is itself a medical procedure and is not something that should be used simply as a routine way of changing the result. The decision to dissolve filler should be made after proper assessment.

What are the risks of dermal fillers?

Like any medical procedure, dermal fillers have potential risks.

Common and usually temporary effects include swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, and small amounts of bleeding at the injection sites.

A more serious but uncommon complication is vascular occlusion. This can happen if filler enters a blood vessel or compromises blood flow around a vessel. Reduced blood supply can cause tissue injury and, in severe cases, skin necrosis.

In certain facial areas, particularly areas connected to the blood vessels supplying the eye, a vascular complication can potentially cause vision loss or blindness. This is rare but potentially serious.

This is why filler should be treated as a medical procedure, not simply as a cosmetic injection. Proper patient assessment, appropriate product selection, anatomical knowledge, injection technique, and knowing when not to inject are all important parts of safe treatment.

Who should not have dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers may not be appropriate for everyone. Treatment may be postponed or declined if you:

  • Have an active infection, inflammation, or significant skin condition in the treatment area
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding, depending on the circumstances and medical assessment
  • Have a known allergy to the product or one of its ingredients
  • Have previously had an unknown, unidentified, or permanent filler injected in the same area
  • Are requesting an amount of filler that is not medically or aesthetically appropriate
  • Have medical conditions or take medications that may increase the risk of bleeding or other complications
  • Have expectations that cannot reasonably be achieved with filler

A proper consultation comes first. The doctor will assess your facial anatomy, medical history, previous procedures, and goals before deciding whether filler is appropriate for you.
